A great pair of women’s training leggings is essential for any fitness enthusiast, but finding a good fit that lasts through all types of workouts can be challenging. For our review, we gathered over 60 pairs of womens training leggings, gave them the “squat test” and looked at how opaque they were, how soft they were inside and out, how moisture-wicking they felt during runs and workouts and whether they were made using eco-friendly, sustainable or organic materials. We also considered if they had pockets, and the overall aesthetic of the design including seams, a gusset, waistband and color options.
Editor-in-chief of PureWow Candace Davison wore these high-waisted leggings throughout her pregnancy and found the seamless, high waistband to be flattering without being constricting. She loved how supportive they were on her growing bump and that the leggings kept their shape even after hours of wear. However, she notes that the fabric pilled a little between her thighs after a long stretch session or a few squats.
Finding the Perfect Fit: Women’s Gym Leggings That Combine Style and Performance
Designed with the help of a women’s health physiotherapist, these tights feature compression panels to support your core during low-impact exercise like yoga and barre. They’re made with a sweat-wicking fabric that keeps you cool and dry during your workouts. A triangular gusset and a wide waistband offer extra support for your belly, while the antibacterial treatment helps to keep stinky odors at bay. A roomy pocket and chafe-resistant seams round out the features of these ODODOS leggings, which are comfortable enough to wear on a coffee run but durable enough for gym training.
